The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a management entrance exam available year-round, offering candidates the flexibility to choose their preferred date and time slot based on availability. This section provides a step-by-step overview of the GMAT Focus registration process.
While scheduling the GMAT exam, candidates can select their desired test center along with their chosen date. Registration for the GMAT Focus can be completed up to six months in advance or as late as 24 hours before the exam. However, securing a slot at the last minute isn’t guaranteed, as availability may be limited. To ensure convenience and ample preparation time, it is highly recommended to complete GMAT registration at least three months prior to your intended test date.

How to Register for the GMAT Exam 2024?
To register for the GMAT exam, candidates must create an account on the official website, mba.com. Below is a detailed step-by-step guide to completing the online registration process.
The GMAT is conducted multiple times throughout the year, with no fixed test dates, allowing candidates to schedule their exam based on personal convenience. It is recommended to register at least three months before your intended exam date to secure your preferred slot. Candidates can take the GMAT up to once every 16 calendar days, with a maximum of five attempts in a rolling 12-month period and no more than eight attempts in a lifetime.
The registration process typically takes 30–45 minutes to complete in one sitting. However, candidates have the option to save their progress and resume later as needed.
Since the GMAT is available year-round, candidates can choose a date and time that fits their schedule. Note that rescheduling a retake is only possible 16 days after the initial exam. Below are the steps to complete your registration:

During peak periods, particularly starting from November, it’s recommended to reserve your slot 3–4 months in advance to ensure availability.
When booking your GMAT slot, you’ll have the option to choose from two time windows:
9:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Key Considerations Before GMAT Registration and Slot Booking
Once you’ve registered for the GMAT, the next step is to book your exam date. However, before scheduling your GMAT exam, here are some critical factors to keep in mind:
1. Study Abroad Intakes
Most universities offer three main intakes for international students: Fall, Spring, and Summer.
Research the courses and specializations available during these intakes.
Familiarize yourself with details like admission rates, class profiles, and GMAT score requirements for your desired programs.

Each MBA program or business school may have unique application deadlines.
Ensure you’re aware of these deadlines so you can align your GMAT preparation and complete your application documents well in advance.
3. Application Materials
A strong GMAT score is just one aspect of a competitive application.
Business schools also evaluate additional documents, such as:
An updated resume
A well-written statement of purpose (SOP)

Prepare these materials well before deadlines to avoid last-minute stress.
4. Student Visa Requirements
