XAT 2025 Registration Process
To register for XAT 2025, candidates need to complete the online application form available on the official xatonline.in website. If you choose XLRI as your preferred college, the application fee will be INR 200. For applicants using GMAT scores, the fee is INR 2500. Below is the step-by-step guide for the XAT 2025 registration and application process:
Visit the official XAT website: xatonline.in
Click on ‘New Registration’ and fill in the required details.
A unique XAT ID and a registration link will be sent to your verified email ID.
Click the registration link to verify your XAT registration.
Once verified, go to the XAT homepage and click on ‘Login’.
Enter your email ID and password to access the application form.
Complete all mandatory fields in the XAT 2025 application form.
Review the entered details carefully before submitting.
Pay the application fee of INR 2,200 using credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking.
Candidates can select up to six cities for the exam. The XAT authorities will allocate the test center based on your first-choice city. If the first-choice center is unavailable, you will be allotted a center in the next preferred city. The details of the test center will be provided in the XAT 2025 admit card.
XAT 2025 Syllabus
The XAT 2025 syllabus covers important topics across four main sections: Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and Decision Making. While the other sections have well-defined topics, the Decision Making section does not have a specific syllabus. For preparation, candidates can refer to previous years’ question papers and sample papers. Here are the key details of the XAT 2025 syllabus:
Decision Making: This section will present scenarios from both personal and professional life. Candidates will need to use critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks to make well-informed decisions.
Verbal & Logical Ability: Topics in this section include Critical and Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, English Grammar, Vocabulary, Parajumbles, Cloze Test, and more.
Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation: This section will cover topics such as Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Modern Mathematics, and Data Interpretation.
General Knowledge (GK): The GK section includes questions on a wide range of topics, including politics, culture, society, notable personalities, business, art & entertainment, sports, inventions, innovations, the global economy, science, technology, books, and more.
XAT Exam Pattern and Test Structure 2025
XAT exam pattern has been revised. This year, there will be no essay writing section and GK section will have only 20 questions. The exam duration will be 180 minutes. To effectively prepare for the XAT exam, a preparation timeline of six to nine months is ideal. As one of the most challenging MBA entrance exams, XAT demands focused and consistent effort. The exam consists of four sections: Decision Making, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.
In XAT, it's crucial to give equal attention to all four sections, as sectional cut-offs play a key role in selection to XLRI, Jamshedpur. Therefore, you should allocate study hours equally across these sections. Focus on gaining a clear understanding of the concepts in each subject. Identify your strengths and weaknesses in relation to the XAT syllabus 2025 and start with the areas you're already strong in. This will boost your confidence and help you tackle more difficult topics. Here are some essential tips for preparing for XAT 2025:
Study Material: Obtain XAT-specific books and study resources, which are available both online and through coaching institutes.

Start with Familiar Topics: Begin with the subjects you're comfortable with, where you already have a strong grasp.

Focus on the Syllabus: Prioritize completing the XAT syllabus first. Once you’ve covered the topics, shift to solving mock tests. Aim to practice 25-30 mock tests to enhance your performance.
XAT Admit Card 2025
The XAT 2025 admit card will be available for download from the official XAT website until the exam day. Below are the steps to download the XAT 2025 admit card:
Visit the official XAT 2025 website.
Click on the "Download Admit Card" tab.
Enter your XAT User ID and date of birth, then click "Login."
On the dashboard, click on the Admit Card tab.
Download the XAT admit card PDF and take a printout.
Documents to Carry on XAT Exam Day
Candidates must carry the following documents on the exam day:
Two copies of the XAT 2025 admit card with the candidate's photo affixed.
One original photo ID from the following options:
Aadhar Card
Voter ID
Passport
College/University ID
Driver’s License
XAT Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates must follow the exam day guidelines mentioned in the XAT 2025 admit card. Here are some key points:
Carry two copies of the XAT 2025 admit card, as it is mandatory for entry.
Only hard copies of the admit card and photo IDs are accepted; digital copies will not be allowed.
Arrive at the exam center at least one hour before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.
Do not bring electronic items like mobile phones, watches, calculators, etc., to the exam center.
Only carry a blue or ballpoint pen; no other stationery or food items are allowed.
Do not bring bags or valuables, and follow the dress code outlined in the XAT 2025 admit card.
XAT Answer Key 2025
The preliminary XAT answer key will be leased in the form of candidate response sheet. Check process to download XAT 2025 response sheet and answer key.

Click on ‘response sheet’ tab
Enter user ID and password
Click on ‘candidate response to generate answer key and question paper’
XAT answer key will be displayed
Click on download icon and save as PDF
The option to object to the official answer key will also be given to XAT test takers. They will be required to fill an online form to raise objection and upload a supporting document. If they objections are accepted, the preliminary answer key will be revised.
XAT Result 2025
The XAT 2025 result will be released approximately 15-20 days after the exam, with a tentative release date in the third week of January 2025. Candidates can download their scorecards from the official XAT and XLRI websites. Below is the process to download the XAT 2025 result:

Click on the 'Scorecard' tab.
Enter your XAT User ID and date of birth, then click 'Login.'
Download the XAT result and scorecard, and save a copy as a PDF.
The XAT 2025 result and scorecard will be valid for admission to participating colleges for one year. If a candidate decides to take a gap year, they will need to reappear for the exam in the following session. The scorecard will only be available for a limited period, so candidates should download and save their copy as soon as it is released. XAT Cut Offs for XLRI
XAT 2025 cut offs will be released by XLRI Jamshedpur after result announcement. Candidates who meet the cut offs, will be shortlisted for the personal interview round of 2025 batch admission for MBA Business Management and MBA Human Resource Management.
